Red Bird Service has supplied quality test chemicals, test kits and test solutions for more than a quarter century to companies throughout America and Canada. Established in August 1978, Red Bird Service today serves more than 2000 customers and many Canadian and American distributors with standard test chemicals and solutions. Red Bird products are widely used for product quality assurance, process quality testing and contamination / toxicology testing. Included are products for both organic and inorganic analysis.

Red Bird serves a diverse market in America and Canada. Among our customers are fruit growers, vintners and brewers, grains/ cereal foods growers, suppliers of bottled water and packaged ice, and food and beverage processors. Also, metals processors and metal platers, the petroleum industry, and the environmental water and wastewater market, including potable water, dairy supply water, process water and industrial cooling waters. Test solutions are also supplied for the testing of effluent discharge and hazardous waste.

In addition to standard test chemicals, and testing solutions, we custom-manufacture and private label many items. Red Bird products meet AOAC, ASTM, ANSI and APHA standards, and Mil Spec requirements where applicable.

All products sold by Red Bird Service are for laboratory or production use only. They may not be used as drugs, cosmetics or food additives, nor for household use. We assume that all items we supply will be used by personnel professionally competent in their use and handling, and responsibility for safe use of our products rest entirely with the buyer and/or the end-user. Red Bird Service refuses any liability for damages arising to users or property as a result of their disregarding national safety standards pertaining to dangerous and toxic substances, or the incorrect handing, storage or disposal of its products.

We try to furnish metric units of measure whenever possible. We do reserve the right to substitute English units of measure as equals in emergency situations, or when our suppliers furnish English units to us.

Red Bird Service does not have a minimum order as such. However, due to packaging costs, a handling charge of $3.00 will be added to any order for $20.00 or less, net.

In addition to merchandise charges, we will pass on to the customer any and all special charges such as hazard charges at the current rate from carriers (ie Fed-Ex, UPS) or certain trucking companies.

All shipments are made FOB Osgood, Indiana in the U.S.A. UPS shipments are made on a prepaid and add basis. Motor freight and Air shipments are made on a Collect basis unless special arrangements are made. In all cases any special handling charges such as hazard charges, Saturday delivery charges, etc. will apply and be the customers responsibility.

Whereas Red Bird Service tries to hold prices shown in its catalogs for at least one full year, all prices are subject to change without notice. This is especially true of raw chemicals.

Terms are 1% 10-days-Net 30. Accounts that reach 60 days are placed on C.O.D. for a minimum of one year.

A $25.00 fee will be charged on all checks returned for non-sufficient funds.

We now accept Discover, Federal Express, MasterCard or Visa to make purchases easier.

Title to items sold passes to the purchaser upon delivery to the freight carrier regardless of the method of shipment. If any concealed or visible damage is found, the carrier's agent should be notified, and an inspection request made. Damage claims should be filed by the consignee with the carrier. We will assist you in processing your claim but will assume no responsibility for payment of claims or replacement of material. If a shortage is due to the carriers error, you should file claim with the carrier. If a shortage is due our error, we will issue you full credit or make a free replacement. We will not be responsible for damage due to freezing. Shipments demanded by the customer to be shipped during freezing weather are the customers risk and responsibility.

All items are guaranteed to perform satisfactorily as labeled when stored and handled properly. Solutions may be returned only with prior authorization of Red Bird Service. When requesting a return authorization, please indicate the lot number as well as the reason for the return. Solutions returned are subject to a 20% restocking fee based upon the purchase price. return shipments must be prepaid to Red Bird Service unless other arrangements have been made or permission to return collect has been issued by Red Bird Service. All unauthorized returns are refused and returned at the shippers expense.

No credit will be given for custom-made items or for items which are within 2-months of the expiration date on the label. Our liability for defective merchandise is limited to either a no-charge replacement or the full refund of the purchase price.

Many solutions are available in sizes other than listed in this catalog. Our product sizes range from 100ml to 200-liter (55-gallon) Drums. In many cases sizes are regulated by D.O.T. and may not be available in other sizes.

Most products are traceable to N.I.S.T. and Certificates on Analysis are shipped with every item. Red Bird Service is currently not ISO-9000 certified, but this process is underway and interested parties may contact our quality manager to discuss our quality procedures.
